Charming, sophisticated, tough, fit, skilled, intelligent….. There are many adjectives that could be used to describe James Bond and most if not all of them would be positive. With a license to kill and the backing of one of the world’s finest intelligence organizations and assistance from one of the world’s foremost militaries, Bond has helped save the world several times over and we have so much to be grateful to him for. Of course though Bond is just a human being and would have the same basic requirements as the rest of us and even he doesn’t have access to trees that grow money. Because even Bond has to pay the bills and go shopping occasionally, is it ever likely that he would ever need to ask for a loan sometime?
Wealth
It is highly likely that James Bond is rather wealthy anyway and is unlikely to ever need to ask for payday loans. As one of the world’s leading spies he is probably already on a fairly hefty wage plus he must surely take advantage of a few extra perks. After being locked in the Fort Knox vault with all those gold bars, for example, it is likely that he gave into temptation and took a bar or two and that alone could have left him looking financially sound for the future. With his contacts at the very top of the finance world he would also no doubt get a few tips on the stock markets and probably has a very healthy investment portfolio somewhere. No doubt also he gets the occasional Aston Martin as a perk of the job and he could have a garage that would make a Sheikh jealous. With enough behind him already it is unlikely that bond will ever find his bank account running low and have the need to ask for payday loans.
Charm and Trickery
If in the unlikely event Bond did run out of money it’s unlikely that he will even need to ask for more. With his charm he could probably still get whatever he wanted without having to pay for it and there will be no shortage of wealthy ladies willing to give him a blank cheque to go shopping with. If he can’t get what he wants or needs then he could use his spy skills to change records and falsify documents to trick financial authorities, companies and individuals into thinking that he does still have money after all. In fact, Bond will have access to pretty much all the money in the world so it’s highly unlikely Bond will ever need to even think about asking for payday loans.
Gaming Skills
If bond needed money, he could probably just win what he needed at a casino. As was seen in Casino Royal his poker skills are second to none and he could probably leave poker world champions regretting the day they agreed to play against him. With card counting skills it is unlikely that many casinos would be happy to see Bond at their Black Jack tables either and they may be reluctant to grant him entry, although that should not be a problem for a master of disguise such as Bond. Heightened powers of observation will also allow him to notice when a casino may be cheating and instead of becoming a victim, he will instead use it to his advantage so he can win even bigger. Bond would never need to ask for payday loans, he could just pop down to the nearest casino to add to his bank balance instead.
While many of us have to budget on a daily basis to ensure we have all we need to get by, there are some people in the world that get to spend pretty much how they like. Although people like James Bond may be pretty much free in their spending habits however it should be remembered that he has worked terribly hard and risked a great deal for what he has. Although James Bind himself may be a fictional character (it hurts but it’s true), there are non-fictional characters that get paid very well for quite literally saving the world from time to time.
